| From the North and the South | St. John's is located about 15 minutes from Wilkes-Barre in the Hanover Section of Nanticoke. From I-81 North or South, take exit 164 to Nanticoke. This puts you on Rt. 29 North. From 29 take exit 2-Wilkes-Barre/ Alden. You will take a left at the end of the exit toward Alden. This road is Main Street and also Middle Road, as you move forward. You will pass through a small village of houses and soon you will come to a small bridge at the bottom of a slight hill. There will be a sign on the right side of the bridge which reads "Nanticoke Creek". Immediately after crossing this little bridge you will take a left onto Clarks Crossroad. At the terminus of this road, take a right turn onto Front Street. (There is no street sign but you must turn right or left.) Follow Front Street into Nanticoke. You will see a sign saying "Welcome to Rhone". This was what the Hanover Section was once called. Momentarily you will see houses on your right and sports fields on your left. You cannot miss St. John's up ahead on the right. The Church is located on the corner of Front and Welles Streets.
