Memory Eternal Pauline!
On the morning of December 31st, 2008, our friend and St. John's parishioner Pauline Karaska reposed in the Lord at the home she shared with her son, Ted, in Plano, TX. Ted took his mother to live with him several years ago when her health began to decline, yet she always remained connected and in contact with St. John's. We laid her to rest on Thursday, January 8th at Oak lawn Cemetery in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Pauline is remembered fondly here at St. John's and her passing is one we celebrate with great joy and thanksgiving for a life lived well and fully. Pauline and her late Husband, also Ted, came to St. John's from Connecticuit in the early 1990's after entering retirement. Both were originally from this area but left shortly after marrying in their early 20's. Ted was known for his remarkable musical ability and was a natural with the trumpet. He was gregarious and well liked. Pauline was the quiet strength behind Ted who held her family up, supporting them through everything with firm, dedicated hard work. Pauline is remembered for her love, loyalty and dedication to her family. May Pauline and Ted's memory be eternal!
