Due to the extraordinary generosity of Mrs. Dorothy Phillips, a daughter of St. John's who lives in NJ, in memory of her husband, John, we were able to make some much needed repairs to our beloved cemetery. The retaining wall was repaired, fences replaced and painted, the entryway repaired and painted, sidewalks reapired, and the extremely overgrown brush was cleared from the fences and headstones. What a transformation from what used to be here! Other cemetery upgrades have also been made in the last few years, including a storm water runoff drain designed to divert water away from the cemetery and into the creek at the foot of the cemetery hill. Now our cemetery "lowlands" do not flood anymore! Glory to God for the people of St. John's and their generosity!
